Shows like The Flash will be arriving on Netflix eight days after the season finale is aired. This is a new licensing deal between Netflix and The CW. The deal came shortly after The CW and Hulu parted ways which made selected episodes of CW series available for streaming. The CW set streaming deals with both Netflix and Hulu in 2011, but those deals were crucial to the future of The CW. Now the contract with Netflix is a pact for the network to continue its improved performance.
CW and Netflix were working on a licensing deal over two weeks ago to bring shows like The Flash, Arrow, Jane the Virgin and other network shows to Netflix shortly after the season finales aired.
This deal begins in the 2016-17 television year and includes new shows like Riverdale but includes the most popular shows on the CW, such as The Flash, Arrow, Supernatural, The 100 and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Legends of Tomorrow and SuperGirl will also be added. Supergirl will be joining the CW superheroes. A lot of these shows are on our Top Binge Worthy Viewing on Netflix List.
Netflix Subscribers love the line up from the CW and can now view them 8 days after the season finales! This is a huge day for Netflix members who won’t have to wait months, sometimes, even as long as a year, for new seasons to be available. 8 days that is less time then waiting for the next episode on cable.
