Historical fantasy drama series, Da Vinci’s Demons is a real-life, partly imagined story about Leonardo da Vinci’s life. Developed and produced in collaboration with BBC Worldwide, the series was conceived by David S. Goyer with Tom Riley as the main cast.
The first season of Da Vinci’s Demons premiered in the United States on April 12, 2013 on Starz, while its second season premiered on March 22, 2014. Renewed for the third season which is set to premiere on October 24, 2015, this historical fantasy has been ranked as one of the best historical shows on television.
Starring Tom Riley, Laura Haddock, Blake Ritson, Elliot Cowan, and Lara Pulver as the main cast of the show, this series chronicles the story of Leonardo and the political schemes of the Medici and Pazzi family. Outside of the events regarding politics, this brilliant mind goes on a voyage to find the Book of Leaves during which he finds himself entwined with a cult called Sons of Mithras.
