“Bad Moms” follows the lives of three burnt out mothers who are tired of the pressures of motherhood and find themselves unable to cope. In the movie, Amy (Kristin Bell) meets two other moms who have similar feelings and embark on a raunchy spree of bad behavior.

12. Imitation of Life (1959)

Imitation of Life Official Trailer #1 - Lana Turner Movie (1959) HD

The cult classic Imitation of Life has a huge fan base, especially among black women and gay men. It’s about two women who are trapped in a society that doesn’t allow for women’s happiness. The film starts with an impersonation of Nat “King” Cole by Earl Grant and includes gospel singer Mahalia Jackson.

Awarded a “Golden Globe” for best supporting actress, the film has won multiple awards. And Moore, Dee, and others were nominated for other awards.

Another great feature of “Imitation of Life” is its deranged portrayal of American society. The light-skinned Sarah Jane, who prefers a father who is absent, has no idea she’s a mixed-race child. However, Annie, who’s a devoted mother, sees an opportunity in Sarah Jane’s mixed-race heritage, and she tries to get her hands on her mother’s absent father.

“Imitation of Life” was the director’s last melodrama. It’s a complex film with a lot of subplots and emotions, including ambition, friendship, and love. Its best subplot is a study of the divisions in American society and its role in shaping the lives of both women.

The movie also stars Susan Kohner, who gives an impressive performance as a young, outcast girl.

If you’re a mom who’s looking for an easy-to-understand and entertaining movie to watch with your family, “Imitation of Life” may be the perfect choice. This classic novel is based on a novel by Fannie Hurst. The book is a classic in the genre of African-American fiction and had many award-winning adaptations. The 1934 version starred Lana Turner and John Gavin.

13. Amy Poehler’s Dumplin’ (2018)

If you want to watch a good movie with your mom, you should probably check out Amy Poehler’s Dumpin’. The plot follows plus-size high school senior Will Dickson as he attempts to mend his relationship with his estranged mother.

As a former beauty queen, Rosie is an incredibly competitive individual who is desperate to win the pageant. As a result, Will is put in a position to win the competition, and her relationship with her mother is put to the test.

The slapstick comedy is perfect for any mom to see with her daughters, but it is especially aimed at a younger audience. The movie stars Marcia Gay Harden, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sydney Park, Josephine Langrod, Clark Gregg, Josie Totah, and Ike Barinholtz.

Amy Poehler is a comic star in this movie as a teen mom. It is full of references to 90s grunge, zine culture, and the mom culture. The Kim family, a group of Korean immigrants, manages a convenience store. The film is an uplifting comedy with a lot to love for moms and daughters alike.

Final Thoughts

Give your mom the best mother’s day ever, make sure she is relaxed, happy and laughing. You don’t need to spend a ton of money on a gift or stress yourself out on what to get mom. It’s super simple, just give her the gift of no worries, relaxation, and a hug.

Mom’s, let us know which shows and movies on Netflix you really enjoy? We hope your enjoyed your Mothers’ Day this year! Happy binging!
