Set in an alternative world, this dramedy thriller is set in present day. From the beginning of time, in this alternative world, all have co-existed quietly and calmly. This being an alternative world, there are alternative creatures such as orcs, fairies, and elves that live together with the humans.

The entire story like revolves on one weapon that could take down the entire population. A human police officer and an orc police officer have to track this weapon down, along with the rest of the population.

The two officers have the main goals of getting the weapon before the wrong person does and protecting the young elf that is the damsel in distress (because every movie has one).

These L.A. Cops Daryl Ward and Nick Jakoby are the main men, these characters are played by Will Smith as Ward and Joel Edgerton as Jakoby. Will Smith took on this role and he was the perfect guy for the job.

The foul mouthed Daryl Ward is dark and ominous in this role– Extremely different from his plenty of other roles, especially that of Fresh Prince of Bel Air. In this movie you will see similar themes to today’s world. Like in the real world, in this movie world, there are themes of racism and coexisting with the differences in our world.

The difference between this film and other Netflix Originals? This is a big budget film for Netflix ranking in at 90 million. You can obviously see in the trailer that, that 90 million is really going places. This is Netflix first, really big silver screen showing.
