The show also visits a powerhouse pizza bakery in the northern Midwest. In addition to pizza, Fieri digs into giant sandwiches, monster tots, and a Hawaiian-Polish mashup.

Favorite diners on the show

The chefs’ favorite dishes are served at several locations throughout the show. During an episode featuring Louisiana food, the chefs served up deep-fried oysters, shrimp and soft-shell crab. In another episode, they served oyster stew.
In Louisiana, Sunny Anderson and Emeril Lagasse both recommended the famous fried shrimp at Pascal’s Manale. Sunny Anderson, however, enjoyed Deanie’s Giant Seafood Platter. The chefs at the restaurant favored Johnny’s Po’Boys and Dooky Chase’s Gumbo.
