Let’s take a look at the availability of the fifth season of Downton Abbey across various Netflix regions:

Is Downton Abbey Season 5 on Netflix US?

Sadly. There’s not a single season of Downton Abbey currently streaming on Netflix US.

Is Downton Abbey Season 5 on Netflix Canada?

Bad news here too. Netflix Canada is only streaming the first four seasons of Downton Abbey. We guess that it’ll be the first region to stream the fifth season as well.

Is Downton Abbey Season 5 on Netflix UK?

Frustrating news here. There’s not a single season of Downton Abbey on Netflix UK.

Is Downton Abbey Season 5 on Netflix Australia?

No. We could not trace a single season of the show on Netflix Australia as well.

This critically acclaimed television show which has won several accolades and awards, including a place in the Guinness World Records, Downton Abbey has stopped streaming on Netflix since February 2013. A  contract between Netflix and PBS ended, and it was Amazon which quickly established a deal right away to get the streaming rights.

As of today, we don’t believe that a contract extension will take place between PBS and Netflix again, meaning that the show will take quite some time to hit Netflix. However, with the increasing Netflix fan-base, the online streaming rental might just do it for the fans and re-negotiate the terms.
