The book takes place in Holt, Colorado. This small town is super small, but for Addie Moore (Jane Fonda) and Louis Walters (Robert Redford), they’ve not had much contact. Both of their spouses have passed away and their kids aren’t around, they’ve flown the nest.
Addie is lonely and wanted to seek a connection with her neighbor that she barely knows. She does not want to live her life in a lonely manner any more, so why not see what Louis is up to? Will the movie follow the book?
