Two finest comedians today, Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson have teamed up together for a Netflix comedy ‘The Ranch’ that is set to premiere on April 1, 2016. The comedy series is described as a multi-camera comedy chronicling the story of former pro football player who returns to carry on with the family ranch business in Colorado.
The series is being shepherded by the former executive producers of “Two and a Half Men” namely Don Reo and Jim Patterson.
Kutcher and Masterson previously worked together on 1998-2006 Fox Comedy Series “That ’70s Show”. There were also reports that Kutcher was working on a project for CBS with Chuck Lorre, Patterson and Reo. It’s hazy if “Ranch” is what it was being talked about.
Kutcher and Masterson will also be accompanied by other artists including Elisha Cuthbert, Debra Winger, and Sam Elliott. It was announced previously in September 2015 about Cuthbert joining the cast of “The Ranch”.
The show is set to air in two parts with the first batch of 10-episodes premiering on the very first day of April while the next 10 episode might come in 2017 or later at the end of the year.
“A lot of the show plays outdoors, which is unconventional for a sitcom,” says Ashton Kutcher. “We’re breaking a bunch of rules, but at the same time, it’s a sitcom about fathers and sons, and what it’s like to live in that town you just want to get out of.”
