We all know the show, we remember the yellow people that adorned our living rooms for years and years. We laughed with them and we cried with them– We grew to love them and we often related to them. The Simpsons are the family that everyone loved, but now their getting a glorified chance at coming to Netflix? Heck yeah!

Well… Not really, but let’s take a moment to thank Matt Groening for creating the dysfunctional family that we grew to love in the 1989 and doing it again in 1999 with Futurama– Of course we remember the strange, loser boy that delivered pizza that had a mishap and was frozen for 1000 years!

We’ve fallen in love with the different characters that Matt Groening has created. We’ve fallen for the tainted, imperfect, silly, lovable characters that flowed from the mind of Mr. Groening.

If you were a fan of The Simpson’s and Futurama, then we’ve got some fantastic news that you’ll love to hear. Matt Groening has more love to give. His creative and innovative juices were flowing when he created this story line. The even better thing? The series is exclusive to Netflix!

What is this series that I’m talking about? Disenchantment, of course! The show will follow Princess Bean, a lady that drinks more than her body weight in alcohol. We learn to love her elf companion, Elfo, and a personal demon, Lucia, in the Dreamland Kingdom. The show will follow the main squeeze and her cronies as she goes through life.

The main goal of the show is to show that life may be messy but there are still things worth laughing at. Matt Groening wanted to showcase that life isn’t always what we want it to be, life is messy and may not go as planned but there are still things worth laughing at.

I don’t know about you, but that seems to be pretty awesome if you ask me. Sometimes we need a reminder in life that life isn’t always peaches and cream. Sometimes we need a reminder that a messy life isn’t bad, it’s just a life lesson that gives you the ability to overcome all the negative and bad stuff.

Negative and bad stuff aside, the first season will have 20 episodes. 20 EPISODES. There will be tons of episodes in the first season, but that is the norm for shows like this, and more than likely, the season will go fast when we binge it when it comes out in 2018.

Are you excited for the new show from Matt Groening? If it’s anything like his other works of art, then the animation will not disappoint. Are you excited to watch? What are you most looking forward to?
