The show revolves around three intersecting groups of characters: the FBI, scientists at the fictitious California Institute of Science (CalSci), and the Eppes family. Inspired by actual cases and experiences, Numb3rs depicts the confluence of police work and mathematics in solving crime. An FBI agent, Don Eppes (Rob Morrow) recruits his mathematical genius brother Charlie (David Krumholtz) to help solve a wide range of challenging crimes in Los Angeles from a very different perspective. It’s famous opening (read by David Krumholtz).
