Going out is great, but sometimes the best evening’s on your couch. Here are eight great options to Netflix and Chill to this Valentine’s Day. Or just watch alone or with friends.

Valentine’s Day’s here again. And now, you’re wondering what movie to watch While some may go out to the theater, others may want to stay home instead.

Valentine’s Day is a great day to “Netflix and Chill.” Let’s take a look at eight great movies and TV shows to choose from as you grab your popcorn, sweets, and drinks.

1. Beauty and the Beast (2017)

The live-action movie produced by Bill Condon was beautiful and captivating with an original song sung by the Beast that wasn’t in the animated feature. In it we find Belle, who tried to rescue her father, being held captive by the Beast. Beauty and the Beast is a classic story set for any romantic couple who needs cuddle time.

2. Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)

One of Audrey Hepburn’s most iconic movies, Breakfast at Tiffany’s is sure to grace anyone’s Valentine’s Day movie list. This movie, if you haven’t seen it – which I doubt is the case for most classic movie lovers – showcases a writer who is enamored by his neighbor (Hepburn). A young woman who longs to climb the ladder to become a high ranking socialite. With her penchant for fashion and outrageous parties, it comes as no shock that the writer falls madly in love with Holly. Lovebirds, this is your Valentine’s Day movie! Cuddle up in the corner of your couch and prepare for this classic love story.

3. Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001)

Looking for a good romcom? Look no further than Bridget Jones’s Diary. This romantic comedy is based on the novel by Helen Fielding and follows the life of a young woman named Bridget Jones, played by Renee Zellweger. Bridget is a thirty-year-old, post-feminist British woman who likes smoking, drinking, yet has trouble controlling her weight. She falls for two guys played by the amazing Colin Firth and funny Hugh Grant. Mark (Firth) and Daniel (Grant) used to be college buddies until Mark has an affair with Daniel’s fiance. The movie is rife with comedy, romance, fight scenes between Mark and Daniel, and Renee gives an amazing performance through her character Bridget. Bring out your drinks and prepare for a good laugh, as well as some romance that will have any couple sneaking some kisses here and there.

4. Emma (1996)

Who doesn’t love a good Jane Austen story? Valentine’s Day movie night wouldn’t be complete without the movie Emma. Based on the 19th-century novel, Gwyneth Paltrow portrays a young, upper-class woman who thinks she is a very good matchmaker. Emma Woodhouse lives on a vast estate with her father, priding herself on being able to mend broken hearts and find people their true loves. Her next target is a young woman, Harriet Smith (Toni Collette). This movie is full of twists and turns, set in the English countryside. With a wonderful cast, this timeless comedy with be the delight of anyone’s Valentine’s Day movie night.

5: Our Souls at Night (2017)

Not everyone staying in on Valentine’s Day is a young couple. You might find yourself by your lonesome, or be a more mature couple ready for a good cuddle. Check out this adaptation of the best-selling novel written by Kent Haruf. Addie Moore (Jane Fonda) visits her neighbor unexpectedly one night, Louis Waters (Robert Redford). Years ago both their spouses died. They’ve been neighbors in a small town for ages, yet never really had any contact. It’s a beautiful story of reconnection with the human soul and finding love again. Fonda and Redford are amazing in this movie as their characters move through being alone, coming together and finding love.

6: Y Tu Mama Tambien (2001)

Not in the mood for another chick flick this Valentine’s Day? Here’s one that might have more appeal for the guys. Y Tu Mama Tambien is a sexy, art-house flick from Mexico. This coming-of-age movie is centered on two immature teens who take a road trip with an unhappily married woman. There is drama, awkward sex scenes, but most importantly this foreign film makes you think. “Life has a way of inspiring us, healing us, and teaching us.”

7: Two Lovers and a Bear (2016)

Looking for a great drama during Valentine’s Day? Look no further than Two Lovers and a Bear. This drama unfolds in a small town near the North Pole. This story follows the characters Roman (Dane DeHaan) and Lucy (Tatiana Maslany). Here, at the edge of the world, these two people found each other. Follow this philosophical story between two characters who are trying to find themselves, as well come together to find inner peace and a life together.

8: Sense8 (Netflix Original)

Looking for a good reason to start a new show binge? Take a gander at Sense8. Discover a world where you can connect with eight strangers. You’re able to take on their abilities, and any skills they’ve obtained through life, as well as feel their emotions. Sense8 is about eight strangers from around the world who find they have an intimate connection to each other. Seasons 1 and 2 are available on Netflix.

Netflix and Chill This Valentine’s Day

There are so many more movies or tv shows you could binge on during Valentine’s Day. From classic movies to newer romantic comedies they can all be found on Netflix. These are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to viewing material. Grab your popcorn, significant other, and a tissue box as you ready yourselves for a night of cuddles, whispers of sweet nothings and kisses in the night because it’s time to Netflix and chill.
