Perfectly Timed for Friday the 13th, Lemony Snicket A Series of Unfortunate Events is due to hit Netflix.   After more then 10 years after the Bauderlaire orphans finished there journey in the movie adaption of the book series starring Jim Carey.

Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events is from the best selling children’s novel series.  The series is a Netflix Original, which means it was produced by Netfllix for Netflix Only!

The story is a somber on that follows Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire after the death of their parents.  When Violet (the oldest) turns 18 they will inherit the families fortune.  The kids travel from one guardian to the next.  Due to the negligence of the each guardian the kids learn to look out for themselves.  During this time the learn to outsmart Count Olaf, who is stalking the kids to get his hands on the family fortune.

 

Since the movie did somewhat well, but failed to transform the books into a franchise like, Harry Potter.  Netflix seen potential enough to start the series with 8 episodes.

Overall, fans are looking for Neil Patrick Harris to provide a great deal of fun, as he dives into his over-the-top character with considerable gusto.   This series is one that parents will be able to watch with their older kids.
