A few years ago, Netflix and Disney agreed to a deal that would bring Disney Movies, which include Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Pixar movies, to the streaming service beginning in 2016.   Previously, these movies would go to Starz instead, but that contract expired at the beginning of 2016.

While some are reporting all of the new Disney movies will be available in September, we think it might actually be a while before we see some of the bigger Disney movies on Netflix. Perhaps, older Disney movies such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and A Bug’s Life could be released on Netflix in September, but it seems like it could be a lot longer before we see Captain America: Civil War, The Jungle Book, and Finding Dory which makes complete sense, these movies are just hitting the big screen.

Disney began production of his first feature-length animated film in 1934. Which was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  They released family films such as Escape from Witch Mountain and Freaky Friday in the 1970’s.  In 2003, Disney became the first studio to record over $3 billion in worldwide box office receipts.  With theme parks, video games and more Disney is nets over 8 billions dollars.

Unfortunately, the movies released in theaters while Disney and Starz were under contract which includes Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Ant-Man, would likely will not be on Netflix unless Netflix would license the streaming rights to those movies, which seems unlikely.

With all that said, remember there are Disney Movies on Netflix available now for streaming some include:  101 Dalmations, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Dumbo.  For More great movie check out 10 Best Kids Movies On Netflix.
