11 Best Movies Without A Sequel


As someone who spends an unreasonable amount of time watching films, I’ve come up with a list of the 11 best movies that have never had a sequel. And let me tell you, narrowing it down to just 11 was no easy feat.

There are so many amazing standalone films out there that it was hard to choose just a few. But, after much contemplation (and rewatching several of these films multiple times for “research purposes”), I’ve come up with a list that I think does these movies justice.

So, without further ado, here are the 11 best movies without a sequel:

1. The Shawshank Redemption

This film is a masterpiece. It’s got drama, friendship, and redemption all rolled into one.
