[Spoiler Alert for Stranger Things] Actor Charlie Heaton plays Jonathan Byers in Stranger Things. He is the awkward older brother that has no friends in the beginning of the series. The hardworking boy that does nothing but work and breath.

Remember him? He became the hero when he came to Nancy Wheeler’s rescue. He was the one that helped his mom when she was was having a hard time with Will’s disappearance. Jonathan was the one to have his head on strait– But he never faltered in seeing the other side of thing as well.

When season two premiered on Netflix, the premier party consisted of the cast that everyone knows and loves, that never falters. The other thing that never faltered was the Stranger Things theme at the after part.

But you have have noticed that Charlie Heaton was missing from the premier. The 23 year old is a native to Yorkshire, England. He was on his way to the season two premier, made it the whole way to Los Angeles, California where he was detained.

The actor was detained at LAX when drug sniffing dogs detected trace amounts of cocaine on the actors suitcase. While there were just trace amounts, this was enough to have the actor detained and sent back to London. Thus making him miss the season two premiere of Stranger Things.

“My planned travel to the U.S. last week was affected by an issue at U.S. immigration, and I am working to rectify it as soon as possible. I do want to clarify that I was not arrested or charged with a crime, and cooperated fully with the U.S. officials at LAX.  I’m sorry to all the fans and my ‘Stranger Things’ family for missing the premiere. We are all so proud of this season and I would never want this story to negatively impact the show.”

The actor was not arrested for this matter or nor does he have any charges against him. He was just denied entry into the United States. While Heaton is apologetic of the situation, it does not mean that it did not happen.
