With Netflix, you can just about always find the perfect thing to watch. So here is our list of Netflix original shows that you should take time to watch in 2017.

6 Netflix 2017 Shows You Really Should Watch

As IMDB puts it, “Sam, an 18-year-old on the autism spectrum, decides it’s time to find a girlfriend, a journey that sets Sam’s mom on her own life-changing path as her son seeks more independence.” However, it is so much more than that. This show cleverly disguises the realities of Autism in a sheath of well-written drama. The acting is wonderful, and the episodes addictive and binge-worthy.

Game of Thrones Jason Momoa plays in this dark, gritty presentation of the American Fur Trade in the 1800s. This action-packed thrill ride of a historical drama will leave you gasping for breath.

Here is the Season 2 trailer:

American Vandal

This is the number one binge-watched Netflix series with good reason. In the United States, you are innocent until proven guilty. That is, unless you are a high school student expelled for painting bright red phallic graffiti on every car in the parking lot. As the mystery expands, it becomes clear, there is a lot more than meets the eye in this vandalism.

One Day at a Time

A reboot of a 1970s sitcom, this show features a combat veteran leading her small, 3-generation household. The comedy is satisfying and fast-paced. The whole family will love this show. Netflix has announced the release date for Season 2, in January 2018 so you want to get caught up on season one!

Santa Clarita Diet

Drew Barrymore leads this cast, in an offbeat comedy about a married realtor that suddenly begins a transformation that leads her on a path to death and destruction. In a hilarious, good way. Not to mention, she is looking and feeling better than ever before.

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

This show has a total of three seasons, so far, and we dare you not to smile. Hopeful, cheery and self-aware, this show is also absolutely silly. Kimmy was kidnapped, and kept in a fallout shelter by a religious nutjob. Now that she is out, she’s learning a lot about the world. Netflix has announced a Season 4, which goes to show: people love this series.

3 Netflix Original Movies That You Must See Before 2017 Ends

Netflix does more than series, of course. If you haven’t had the time to see these, you simply must.

To the Bone

A young woman who lives with Anorexia Nervosa enters a group home as a last ditch effort to control it. There she meets an unconventional doctor, played by Keanu Reeves.

Marlon Wayans plays a man caught in a time-loop. He continuously arrives unceremoniously, naked, in an elevator, the morning be for his wedding. He keeps trying to get to his wedding, but repeatedly finds himself back on the floor of an elevator. Starting the day over. Naked.

What Happened to Monday?

Identical septuplets hide from the government by pretending to be one woman. In a future where no family is allowed more than one live child, that is quite a feat. The mystery and infighting begin when one of them goes missing.
